Selection Poll Glossary
- Column 1: This column simply shows the race number
- MAIN RATINGS: This column shows TAB number and name of
the top Base (Main) Ratings horses in order from 1st to 4th (based on our main
predictive rating)
- BETTER RATINGS: This column shows TAB number and name
of the top Better Ratings horses in order from 1st to 4th (based on our
class emphasized rating)
- PLUS RATINGS: This column shows TAB number and name of
the top Plus Ratings horses in order from 1st to 4th (based on our
consistency emphasized rating)
- API RANKINGS: This column shows TAB number and name of
the top API Ranking horses in order from 1st to 4th (based on Average
Prize-money Index which is total career earnings divided by 1,000 divided by
the number of career starts)
- WIN% RANKINGS: This column shows TAB number and name of
the top Win Percentage Rankings horses in order from 1st to 4th (based on
win percentage which is 100 times the number of career wins divided by the
number of career starts)
- CONSENSUS PTS: This column shows the Consensus Points
in parentheses after the name of each horse. Points are allocated from the
previous 5 columns where top place in a column earns the horse 4 points,
second earns 3 points, third earns 2 points and fourth earns one point (the
theoretical highest possible score is 20 points)
