Following is a screen capture of Bet Selector's Rating Tables. A
description of the items in each column can be found at the end of this

Rating Tables Glossary
- #: This column simply shows the TAB (or saddlecloth) number
- Form: This shows the horses last 4 finishing positions
with the most recent on the right and the letter "x" indicating a spell
between runs
- HORSE NAME (Barrier Pos): The horses name followed by the
barrier position from which the hose will start in the starting gate.
- WGT: The weight allocated for the horse to carry
- Pre: The newspaper pre-post price for the horse
- 100: The newspaper 100 point rating for the horse
- P'MONEY: The total career to date prize-money earned by the horse
- API: The Average Prize-money Index for the horse which is its
total career earnings divided by 1,000 divided by its total career number of starts
- W%: The horses win percentage as calculated by 100
times the number of career wins divided by the number of career starts
- P%: The horses place percentage as calculated by 100
times the number of career places (wins + seconds + thirds) divided by the
number of career starts
- Main Ratings: Our main predictive rating based
on weighted average of last 3 ratings plus full bonuses and penalties
- Better Ratings: A variation of our main predictive
rating that emphasizes class by considering best of the last 3 ratings plus
limited bonuses and penalties
- Plus Ratings: A variation of our main predictive rating
that bonuses horses higher in the weights
Note there are three sets of ratings for class, time and weight respectively
(giving a total of 9 variants) and each rating is expressed as both a rating out
of 100 and rated price.
